About Me

A Qualified Professional Here to Support You

Life can be challenging and sometimes help from a professional Counsellor can make things better, give you a different perspective and help you change old patterns that seem to be getting in the way of your happiness and personal growth.

As an Integrative therapist I use various counselling modalities to best fit your needs such as Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Person-Centred, and through various mediums such as face to face, online and by phone or text. I am here to support you through life’s challenges and most trying times.

My training at university level includes Psychology and Counselling. I am also a registered Counsellor with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their ethical framework. So you are in safe hands.

As a Counsellor, I value individual difference, candour and integrity as well as striving for personal growth.

I can tolerate stuckness and I'm not afraid to be afraid nor to walk into a dark place with what you bring to therapy.

My Professional Training

What Makes Me Stand Out

I am trained in various therapeutic approaches, therefore I can integrate these approaches together as well as use them separately to best fit your needs.

There are no pre-determined number of sessions, you choose how many you want.

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-centred therapy focuses on your innate tendency to find fulfilment by using your own personal attributions and potential which have been dampened by false beliefs and influenced by societal pressures or negative relationships. These have impacted your self perception and your view of the world blocking you from self fulfilement.

Person-centred therapy is a non-directive, humanistic approach where you are in control of what you want to bring into the sessions and it's pace.

I will support your personal development and problem management by providing specific person centred therapeutic conditions which are vital for your journey, facilitating exploration, understanding and reflection on your own strenghts and identity towards positive change and self actualisation.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is a a short term therapy, however I use this approach intertwined with others when needed to support you in identifying and changing negative thoughts and behaviour that are destructive to your wellbeing.

I will also teach you how to use various other techniques to help you with your healing and journey such as mindfulness, self-compassion and relaxation methods.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy helps bring the unconscious to the conscious mind by working with your past and present, patterns and defenses. I do this by drawing on similar techniques used in psychoanalysis, such as transference, free association and interpretation.

This approach can be helpful for you to learn new perspectives and patterns of behaviour that will help you with personal growth and to overcome or manage the impact unconscious feelings or thoughts may have on your personal development and overall happiness.

“a person is a fluid process, not a fixed and static entity; a flowing river of change, not a block of solid material.”
